Serverless Basics

Presented By: Frank Syler

You've probably heard the term 'serverless' thrown around- but what does it mean? You may have even heard the terms 'lambda', 'functions as a service', or 'cloud function'. What are these, and why are they just the beginning? Should you get in on this way of thinking? Is it complicated? Do you have to change a lot of things? The answer, of course, is 'yes, no, or maybe'- but we are going to talk through the main ideas and how they may or may not be relevant for your application. Spoiler: the big boys are using this stuff, and you can too.
